Flight Safety is everybody's business in aviation and we aim to remove that worry from the client at the outset. We adhere to strict guidelines and rules and adopt best practice when considering the task in hand. Our risk management strategy provides clear unambiguous direction for what is possible and if further permissions are required to operate as a result, we shall provide the solution.
Quantum Altitude Vision utilise their experience within the aviation sector, both military and commercially, to install the crucial element of safety in all that they do. Their aim is to ensure that all of the safety and operational aspects of the aerial filming are considered so that you, the client, can focus on the artistic elements of the shot.
Both of the Directors are ex-military helicopter pilots who bring a wealth of experience having operated in difficult physical conditions coupled with a fast changing landscape. Prior preparation and planning goes a long way to make sure that the task goes according to expectations, but we acknowledge that situations might change. Timings, weather, 3D complex airspace and last minute requests are well versed and understood. In all cases QuAV remain focused and flexible in order to deliver for the client, every time.

As part of our Risk Assessment we consider every aspect of the area we are working within. As a priority before we even begin filming, we put together a case study to ascertain whether the shoot can go ahead and where it's possible, we will seek the permissions required from the relevant authorities to conduct filming. We possess a valid and current Radio Telephony Licence such that we can talk to Air Traffic Controllers from our mobile radio ground station thus providing all users of our immediate intentions before conduct flying operations.
QuAV's due diligence is second to none. We will extend our service by providing the client with a detailed on-site survey that will consider the film location and surrounding hazards. Detailing trees, buildings, power lines and high radio frequency emitters are all essential as part of our risk mitigation. We will then present our findings to our clients before commencing the shoot.
